چکیده

This note discusses the properties of the asymmetric part of an outranking relation a la ELECTRE. Such relations have been used in the pseudodisjunctive version of ELECTRE TRI-B. We show that they have properties that are somewhat di erent from the ones of outranking relations. Indeed, contrary to outranking relations, they allow to have at the same time veto and bonus e ects. We suggest that this explains the di culty in analyzing the properties of the pseudo-disjunctive version of ELECTRE TRI-B and the complexity of the elicitation methods of its parameters. We give conditions that characterize such relations.

On polarizing outranking relations with large performance differences

We introduce a bipolarly extended veto principle – a positive, as well as negative, large performance differences polarization – which allows us to extend the definition of the classical outranking relation in such a way that the identity between its asymmetric part and its codual relation is preserved.

Low-Carbon Steel Sheet Asymmetric Single-Point Incremental Forming: Analysis and Optimization of the Surface Roughness (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Surface roughness (SR) has an adverse effect on the appearance of low-carbon steel parts, formed in the asymmetric incremental sheet forming (AISF) process, particularly those requiring painting operation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of AISF process parameters on the surface roughness of an asymmetric part formed on low-carbon steel sheets. The parameters are feed ra...

On some properties of outranking relations based on a concordance-discordance principle

The purpose of this paper is to study some properties of outranking relations based on a concordance-discordance principle. We show that, whenever the structure of the set of alternatives is sufficiently rich, imposing "nice" transitivity properties on such outranking relations always leads to a somewhat unappealing distribution of "power" among the various attributes. These results directly ap...

Heat Transfer on Peristaltic Transport with Slip Condition in an Asymmetric Porous Channel (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Simultaneous effects of slip and heat transfer on peristaltic transport of an incompressible electrically conducting viscous fluid  in an  asymmetric channel is studied under the assumptions of long wavelength and low Reynold number .The  asymmetry is produced by choosing the peristaltic wave train on the walls to have different amplitudes and phase.Exect solutions for stream function, velocity ...

A consolidated approach to the axiomatization of outranking relations: a survey and new results

Outranking relations such as produced by the Electre I or II or the Tactic methods are based on a concordance and non-discordance principle that leads to declaring that an alternative is “superior” to another, if the coalition of attributes supporting this proposition is “sufficiently important” (concordance condition) and if there is no attribute that “strongly rejects” it (non-discordance con...
